Military Vets and retired LEO'S $50
· Retired law enforcement officers must submit proof of retirement benefits/pension documentation to SLED with application to qualify for the law portion only.
· Veterans must submit DD214 with their application to SLED to qualify for the law portion only.
- We do not need to see your paperwork for class but you will have to submit it with your application in order to obtain your permit with opting out of second half of class. This will be documented on your paper work to send to SLED so make sure to send in your DD214 or retirement paperwork so it's not rejected.
You will be able to leave once you have taken the test and all paperwork completed and checked. Be prepared to stay till around noon.
Class Starts at 9am and will last till around noon for those with training exemptions.
Veterans

Sign up for a class on the class schedule, bring $50 fee, and DL. You are exempt from the 2nd portion of the class and the live fire qualification. Plan to be in class from 9am until noon.
Disabled Veterans

Sign up for a class on the class schedule, bring , $50 fee, and DL. You are exempt from the 2nd portion of the class and the live fire qualification. Plan to be in class from 9am until noon.
Active Military / National Guard

Sign up for a class on the class schedule, $50 fee, and DL. You are exempt from the 2nd portion of the class and the live fire qualification. Plan to be in class from 9am until noon.
Retired LEO
